modern monochrome

Love clean lines and neutral tones? Luckily for you, a monochromatic bedroom style is anything but boring!

A palette of stark white and shades of grey and black makes for a contemporary interior look and is easy to coordinate furniture and decorator items to suit.

The crisp and predominantly white Noni may seem a little plain at first glance, but when you approach the bedroom as a whole, a white bed can actually work to create balance.

With a pared-back base, you are free to be bold with patterns; try an interesting carpet or wallpaper design. A black and white palette can add a sense of sophistication and drama to the room.

You can either keep the look minimalistic and stick to shades of charcoal, pewter, creams and ebony, or be adventurous and pick a feature colour for cushions, throws or other accents.

A vase of flowers is an easy way to add a glimmer of colour and can make any black and white room come alive.

The beauty of monochrome is it's hard to get wrong! While the contrasting dark and light tones will make a strong visual statement, it's important to create depth by incorporating texture with mixed fabrics and patterns.
